В данном видео я впервые реагирую на песню Nightwish — Romanticide. Возможно, у этой группы есть и другие песни, которые мне понравятся. Давайте вместе выясним, есть ли у них плейлист. Подписывайтесь и не забудьте поставить лайк!
They have studio versions — but you have to bear in mind they formed in 1996 and have had 3 different lead singers, so studio and live vary greatly in many cases.
ROMANTICIDE is taken from their 2004 "Once" album — this features Tarja Turunen on lead vocals.
Listen to both and put your favourite on a playlist I suppose.????
One of the best things about this band is their engagement with the music. They are all into it, enjoying it and the companionship of their fellow band members as they make great music. On many of the songs, you can catch the band members singing along, without mike, but for the pure joy of making the music. That glissando at the end by both Floor and Marko (bass player/male vocalist) is stunning. Both of them have amazing breath control and it shows spectacularly at that moment.
Nice reaction! LOL, but I wouldn't call Emppu (the guitarist) Bilbo Baggins to his face, he might throw you across the room — Emppu is a Finnish National Judo Champion!
Aaaaannnddddd you found it! ????nice one D! And with your music, you do deserve to use that title. Can't wait to hear more of it!! Goodmorning!
Regarding your comment on the guitarist resembling Bilbo Baggins…
Nightwish guitarist, Emppu Vuorinen, is small in stature but high in energy and affectionately referred to as "The Electric Hobbit" by many fans.
Nice reaction!
Don’t be afraid to put your own stuff out there. No one deserves to be vilified for having an opinion.
I know this time of year can be difficult for people who don’t have the support of loved ones, but you have a lot of love coming from the Nightwish army.
Jukka the drummer was a killer drummer and put his whole energy in each song. Sadly he had to retire shortly after this tour due to medical reasons. They have studio versions, but it .ight be one of three singers, and they sound this good live, why do studio?
Yea , Floor in Dutch , Fleur or Flower in other langwishies . Greetings from nwAse Sweden
Floor is the Dutch name for the Roman goddess of spring and blossom, Flora. It's her first name.
Her father noticed from her first public appearance that she was a completely different person on stage. Some people are born for the stage.
There are studio versions of the songs from this concert, but not with Floor. The studio version of this song is by the first singer Tarja Turunen. Floor has switched from Tarja's pure opera singing to her typical mix of head and chest voice:

For pop fans I would recommend the poppier bands at Symphonic:
Within Temptation — Bleed Out (official music video)
BEYOND THE BLACK — Dancing In The Dark (OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO)
About this song:
This song is Like a Coffee with Red Bull …. On Steroids ?❤??.
The “scream” at the end is called a glissando, going from low to high and back, for classically trained singers this is an exercise to warm up the vocal cords, so Floor will do this probably every day before breakfast !!!
About Floor Jansen (Yes it is a real name !!!):
Floor's Power is not just her voice (Believe me, you just scratched the surface!), but her genuine being, humble and careing nature towards her fans and fellow bandmates. Can you say the same about those "power houses", that you mentioned???
Floor Jansen is a soprano, with a range of more than 4 octaves (Eb2 to F6).
She can sing from classical to belting and raspy vocals like screaming and death growls. And she's also a voice coach and teacher to boot. Plus, huge vocal nerd.
And second:
She sings what deserves the song, she doesn't showboat her ability to hit those notes, just because that she can do it. In short, she is a storyteller not just singer.
Overall, Great reaction, let's just see, what comes next….
NWSU/FloorFan ???.
You know it’s serious when the drummer is standing up near the end of the song. This one is always such a banger! Definitely keep going down the Nightwish rabbit hole, there is still SO MUCH to hear from them.
Floor is a common first name in The Netherlands. When you want to go further on the path of our 1.83m (6ft.+) tall Dutch Valkyrie Queen besides Nightwish, here is some background information on the best and most versitale female singer of our time. She joined the band 'After Forever' in 1997 at the age of 16. Here are some of my favourites: ‘Energize me’; Monolith of Doubt’ and Dreamflight’.
Floor attended the then new Rock Academy in 1999 and graduated in 2003. She also studied 2 years at the Conservatory (1 year Music Theatre and 1 year Opera).
'After Forever' disbanded in 2009 and Floor started her own band 'Revamp' from scratch. Here she experimented with different vocal styles within one song from full operatic to death growls in seconds. Here are some examples: ‘Misery’s no Crime’and ‘Disdain’.
Besides managing a band on her own she also did a lot of vocal coaching and as she is a perfectionist, she wants to do everything at 100%+. Eventually she had to pay the price and got a burnout. She had just recovered when end of september 2012 the call came from Nightwish to fill in for the remainder of the North American Tour at first as their second singer Annette got ill. Floor had just 48 hours to learn the whole setlist. There is a documentary made of this world tour: ‘Please learn the setlist in 48 hours’
Floor joined Nightwish after this iconic Wacken concert in 2013 as permanent member of the band. Floor continued to perform with 'Revamp’ also, but it was clear that she could not combine the two for much longer, so 'Revamp' disbanded in 2016. Floor did a side project called 'Northward' where she dived into the Hard Rock scene. The song 'While Love Died is a must see.
Her stunning performances on the Dutch TV show 'Beste Zangers 2019' gave her at last some more recognition in her home country where she was relatively unknown until then. There are numerous guest appearances with other bands to find on YouTube. To see how to get a crowd of metalheads silenced and in awe watch her featuring with the band 'Epica' and the song 'Stabat Mater Dolorosa’ and to see her in full opera mode, watch her rendition of 'O Mio Babbino Caro' from Puccini. As live concerts were cancelled and home isolation due to the Covid situation, Floor discovered YouTube in these years. Mindblowing covers, chats with her idols and other singers, vocal masterclasses, personal insights and so much more. She even made a video reacting to herself singing Ghost Love Score at Wacken. Lots of technical info and some memories of her starting with Nightwish.
Also her Fan Friday videos are hilarious. Just unpack some of these and other presents she left on her channel. Also videos of her solotour she did with songs of her impressive career. Her latest endeavour is her stunning solo album ‘My Paragon. Floor is a high sensitive person, so peace and quiet is as important for her. Living by the woods in Sweden with her husband Hannes Van Dahl (drummer of the band Sabaton), daughter Freja (turns 7 years next march) and a newborn daughter Lucy ,a couple of horses, dogs and cats, she found this.
There are studio versions of all of their songs, but not all of them were recorded with Floor on the vocals.
Thanks for a great reaction to my fav NW song! Season greetings from Finland ?
Great to see you continuing with Nightwish! They will surprise you every time! They do have studio versions of their songs, but they are one of the few bands I've heard that ALWAYS sound better live! That's not easy for any band.
I know what you mean about the holidays being depressing at times. During the 20 years I spent in the USAF, I made it home for Christmas 4 times. I was usually working. It wasn't easy. Keep your chin up bro! I hope you have a great Christmas and an even better New Year!
Merry Christmas, hope you enjoy your lone Christmas, I've done it you get through it. Thanks for reacting to this amazing band, re your own material get it out there, people who critise just because you've said a negative thing about something they like to be honest aren't worth bothering with. No one likes everything there's always a song you don't like and that's fine. See you for the next one, No speeding??
New talent….?
you blabber way to much….
You do NOT NOT NOT stop the song in the middle of Emppu's solo….
I have the studio versions, but I rarely listen to them, as to me Nightwish is just better live, especially with Floor. Plus the songs evolve as they perform them live; for example the version of Ghost Love Score at Wacken is vastly superior to the studio one, in my opinion, so I would say just buy the albums from the Wacken, Wembley/Tampere and Buenos Aires concert and you are all good to go, except for the last album.
?????
?? ?? ?
…Good thought to point out for every one to take it easy on the road, especially this upcoming holiday season (2023) when people travels a lot with their ? "automobiles"…
Enjoy your Nightwish journey, there's so much more to come. Greetings from the Netherlands and happy holidays!!
Check out her first band After Forever doing the song "Dreamflight" live and you'll see some RANGE in her vocals.
Also her 2nd band ReVamp you'll again see ANOTHER vocal side, check out "Disdain" Live at Graspop
Tuomas is the Metal Motzart!??
This song is from the same album as Ghost Love Score and it definitely has the same theme: a love that is gone. But where in GLS Tuomas practically begs the person to rekindle their love, in Romanticide he goes ham on his former love. Where it get a bit weird (imo) is the subject these song are about. I feel it is about Tarja (the first singer) announcing her departure from the band (so it is not a romantic love). It's weird because Tarja wasn't gone yet and had to sing these songs on the album and the subsequent tour. (of course I could be wrong)
???? well done, but if you're going to give some more Nightwish responses, learn the names a bit
"Do not drive on a freeway listening to this song, you might just f around and get yourself a speeding ticket or in an accident." LMFAO ??
